Rambèshi

Sideroxylon obovatum
If you look too quickly, you might confuse this tree with the wayaká. However, this evergreen tree has spines and is not very common. The drier the environment where the tree grows, the longer the thorns are. So in the best conditions the tree has almost no thorns. It is related to the medlar tree and has edible, small, black berries.
