Kenepa

Melicoccus
This plant has numerous names all over the world. The tree can be recognized by its winged petioles, which means that there are leaves on the sides of the stems of the leaves. The fruit has a hard green outer shell that breaks open when you bite it. The yellowish pink to salmon pink flesh surrounds a large, sometimes double oval seed and is popular with people, parakeets, iguanas and bats.
